Klara's Swingin' Songs

At the moment I'm working on several things at a time, thus not getting much finished. But I'm still drawing! Here's a work in progress (detail) of one of the works. This drawing kept changing every time, since I didn't really know what I was going for with it. Still not really sure, but we'll see.

EDIT 13/02/13: Well, it's finished. I chose editing this post rather than making a new entry with the same drawing. After the last update it got some more colour and I made it a bit poster-like. I might print some postcards of this to sell at the Kunststripbeurs in Utrecht next month.

Deadline approaching! Whew, I've almost finished all the pages (9 in total) and I want to have this comic printed tomorrow to avoid last minute stress for the finals next monday. Still quite some stuff to do, though. I feel an all-nighter coming up :p

Finals preview: test scene

A test scene for my comic, which will be on display at my finals in July, along with the scene I'm working on now. I didn't finish this scene for various reasons, but decided to show it at my finals as a matter of process and because it shows te subject more clearly than the other scene, which is more character based and has less to do with the concept of the Swingjugend.

New scene: preview!

I've decided to update this place more frequently with works in progress and all that jazz. I'm starting with panels from the next scene I'll be working on for my finals. It's finally starting to come along and I'm trying an all digital approach this time. Here's the two panels (first and last) I made for the first page so far. The full scene will be 9 pages.
