Quicky on the last day of Christmas. No pun intended...

Day 1

It's been a while since I posted, or even made a comic, so here is one! Over the past few months I've been thinking about turning some everyday adventures into comics, but I never got around actually doing it. Now I won't be making a daily series (this happened in May...), but I see them more as little things to do in between other projects and whatnot. And it's a nice way to stay active as an artist. Stylewise these may vary, depending on what materials I feel like using, but this works pretty fast.

Illustrated FML

Fmylife.com featured artist from the Netherlands during the month of June to illustrate some of their funny fml stories. I was lucky enough to be part of it, many thanks to Squabe, who was so kind to give them my e-mail. Thanks a lot! I really appreciate it :)

It was lots of fun to do and also nice to draw a comic again, because during research most I draw are sketches or illustrations at best and I shouldn't let my comic skills go rusty.

They also had a little interview with me, which you can read here.

Dance Dance

Another sketch of some of characters. I still haven't drawn them very often, but they'll be swingin' with Klara and the others in my comics.

Revived and refreshed

I'm finally back after a month of not feeling all that, hence the lack in updates. After the finals I was completely empty, but I'm feeling better and ready to do things, like continuing my project. I have been reading research material a lot the past month. For September I have a few things on my scedule, starting with a friend's wedding, which was yesterday. She couldn't have picked a better day to get married. It was beautiful! I made this little card for them.

Next Saturday I'll be at the Kunststripbeurs in Breda with my good friends Abe Borst and Kitty Rispens, so if you want to say hi you can meet us there (we'll be selling prints, cards and originals)
